The imaginary works are constituated by figurative country sides, under strangly imaginative skies, or on thé other hand, by abstract backgrounds with figurative subjets. Within this zone , thé artist spreads before him in dark colours, sometimes in warm colours, interrupted by horizontal bands of yellow and white, isolated from thé countrysides, which impose themselves as in an abstract gestual expressionism. The horizon is often white, large and void of colour.Stretching between thé sky and thé earth, energetically animated by a "ferocious" palette, in order to proclaim that thé yellow pierces thé violet like lightning and thé craggedness of thé surfaces worked by knife, thé horizon literally séparâtes thé work into two parts, one which is abstract, thé other which is figurative.This characteristic is inexplored.We feel this like a synthetic search of thèse two opposing tendencies of modem art.
